Philippe Bacchet is born in Antibes in 1960. Of a family environment very directed to the discovery, the sport, the nature and the outdoor activities, it is very early incited to learn the rudiments of the photography. Make what the others do not make becomes his creed. Man with practical experience, the imagination fed by the novels of Jules Verne, Stevenson and Edgard Poe, he likes for a long time to dream, to tell, then to testify, to be then a surprise he leaves. Far. He will put his bag in Tahiti in 1984, interrupting then a world tour which he had nevertheless meant to buckle(curl) in the same year. In the airs, on earth and under the water, he realizes pictures by thousands, establishes a great picture library and contributes to numerous publications without borders on the nature, the tourism and the environment. He signs Islands and lights in 1999, then the famous Guide of fishes of Tahiti and his its islands in 2006, and the Guide of the coral reefs of Tahiti and islands in 2011, every three in the publishing In the wind of islands. Philippe Bacchet gets involved dedicatedly in the inventory and the conservation of the marine biodiversity. He prepares at present an other work on the wealth of the coral reefs of French Polynesia.
